BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Amidst expansion of the major gift fundraising effort at Delta, The Duck Hunters Organization has brought aboard Sean Stone of Houston, Texas, as senior director of major gifts. Stone will play an integral role in propelling funding for Delta’s Duck Production, Habitat Conservation, Research and Education, and HunteR3 efforts throughout the monumental Million Duck Campaign and beyond.

Stone will serve as a key team leader, working to oversee Delta’s major, planned, and principal giving in Texas as well as the western Gulf Coast. He will work in partnership with the major gifts management team to guide fundraising efforts and development success throughout the region.

“We are excited for Sean’s arrival and look forward to his leadership as Delta begins a new chapter of growth in Texas,” said John Davis, senior vice president of development for Delta Waterfowl. “With two decades of experience in Texas-centric waterfowl and conservation development success, Sean will expand on the already wonderful base of donor and volunteer supporters to further our major gift fundraising effort in the state.”

Stone is based in Houston, where he will directly manage the region’s development directors and philanthropic initiatives to ensure the success of Delta’s mission—to produce ducks and secure the future of waterfowl hunting.

“I like to take every opportunity to advocate for conservation, proactive management, and replenishment of our environment and resources so that we can continue to enjoy the outdoors for many years—and many generations—to come,” Stone said. “I am excited about Delta Waterfowl’s mission and focus, and I’m thrilled to share it with as many outdoorsmen as will listen.”
