Buy a Duck Stamp, Win a Classic Waterfowl Book!

It’s that time of year once again! As we get closer to opening day of duck season in many parts of the country, it is time to buy your Duck Stamp. This year’s stamp, graced with a pair of pintails, goes on sale tomorrow, August 1, 2020. Delta encourages you to purchase your stamp early this year to help fuel Wildlife Habitat Canada’s conservation mission — which includes support of Delta’s duck production and HunteR3 programs — during this challenging time.

Better yet, The Duck Hunters Organization is offering you a chance to win a copy of a classic waterfowl book, “To Ride the Wind,” beautifully written and illustrated by Delta’s first scientific director, H. Albert Hochbaum. Expertly crafted from the perspective of the ducks, you’ll follow along as the birds fulfill their destiny, riding the migratory winds across North America.

To enter, simply purchase your Duck Stamp and email a copy of your printed/signed stamp, along with your address and phone number, to canada@deltawaterfowl.org. Entries close at midnight on August 10, 2020. A winner will be notified on August 11.

There are several convenient options to get your stamp, including at Canada Post outlets, independent vendors (i.e. hunting stores), and online. Remember, an online purchase allows the convenience of buying a stamp from the comfort and safety of your home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Printing and signing the stamp enable it to be used as soon as the season opens. Additionally, online sales allow lost stamps to be reprinted, and they save on printing and handling costs — allowing the Canadian Wildlife Service to invest further in programs that benefit duck and goose hunters. Plus you still have the option of having a physical stamp mailed to you.

Do waterfowl conservation a favour: Purchase your Duck Stamp tomorrow, August 1, 2020. Thank you and best of luck in the coming season!
