Rob is the former co-owner, President & CEO of Martin’s Super Markets, is a South Bend, Indiana native and a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in marketing and a minor in psychology (BS’88).  Rob has devoted his professional life to the management of retail operations, from bagging groceries, across multiple disciplines and management roles, in executive roles and as President & CEO for over a decade. He focused on team development and company culture stewardship. He was the third generation of family leadership for Martin’s.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Lake City Bank, serving on the Audit and Governance Committees, the Beacon Medical Group Doctor’s Board, and on the South Bend Education Foundation’s Board of Directors.  Rob has served Sunnyside Presbyterian Church as an Elder and officer as well as working within the youth program for some fifteen years.  He helped provide leadership during the past two capital and renovation campaigns.

Rob is an active outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, etc. Protecting, enhancing, and improving our natural resources are important – especially through science-based effective work. He serves on the Delta Waterfowl National Board and the Indiana Nature Conservancy board. He also owns and manages some 640 acres in Lake County Michigan, participating in the Michigan Private Landowner Stewardship Program, with a focus on soil improvement & biodiversity. He is a life member of the Roughed Grouse Society/American Woodcock Society.

Rob is blessed with three sons Bobby, Andy and Will.  His noble purpose and greatest gift is his mission as a father, sharing his own faith, vigor, goodwill, and above all joy, with three fantastic sons.  He resides on Magician Lake in Dowagiac Michigan.
