Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Cory Henderson now resides near Colorado’s southwest border, where he remains a steadfast hunter, outdoorsman, and an important part of The Duck Hunters Organization.

“My favorite hunting is in the rice fields or marshes of southeast Texas,” Henderson said. “While I don’t get to do this as often as I did when growing up, hunting ‘back home’ always helps remind me of where this love and passion for duck hunting came from.”

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, his desire to positively impact waterfowl for the future generations ultimately led him to Delta Waterfowl.

“Delta Waterfowl has always been an organization I have admired for its focus on duck hunting, research, and its conservation approach,” Henderson said. “I am passionate about fundraising and the important role it plays in making impactful programs possible, and I’m excited to be a part of Delta’s fundraising efforts to continue and expand the impact made on waterfowl conservation.”

When he is not working, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors alongside family and friends, whether it be hiking Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, fly fishing a trout stream, or chasing ducks and deer.

Henderson also has a black Lab named Finn, and when it comes to his favorite species of waterfowl, he can’t get enough of gadwalls, cupped up and ready to land in the spread.
