Flooded Timber and Thermal Imaging
This 40 second video shows some footage of mallards in a great piece of flooded bottomland hardwood timber in the heart of Arkansas. This shows the utility of the thermal drone for counting ducks in the winter, though the numbers are a bit staggering. I thought it was cool that the ducks were so spaced out and completely oblivious to the drone at 210 feet overhead.

Yep super kool. Wonder if the timber is all dead already or if it’s a seasonal flood it survives?
It’s pretty much a drought in that area right now.
