Delta Waterfowl Welcomes New Senior Manager of Government Affairs to Increase Advocacy for Duck Hunters

Jeff Wardlaw will focus on local and state issues throughout southern portions of the Mississippi and Central Flyways

Jeff Wardlaw has joined the Delta Waterfowl team as senior manager of government affairs: Mississippi and Central Flyway — South. Wardlaw currently serves in the Arkansas House of Representatives, where he has been representing the 94th district in South Arkansas for 14 years. Moving forward, he will work with state legislators, state fish and wildlife agencies, Delta members and volunteers, and duck hunters at large to help continue delivering meaningful policy results for ducks and duck hunters at the southern end of the Mississippi and Central Flyways.

“I am honored to work with such a passionate and dedicated group of individuals at Delta Waterfowl, who are truly making a difference in the world of waterfowl conservation,” said Wardlaw. “Our breeding programs, including the installation of nest boxes and effective predator management, are crucial in ensuring healthy duck populations for future generations of waterfowl enthusiasts. I am honored to contribute to these efforts and play a role in conserving our beloved duck hunting traditions.”

After joining the Arkansas Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus in 2011, he is currently serving his fifth term on the Executive Council of the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses, where he holds the office of Secretary. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, is a lifelong resident of Bradley County, and outside of being an elected official, previously worked in the medical and agriculture fields.

“We are thrilled to have Jeff Wardlaw join our policy team at Delta Waterfowl,” said Cyrus Baird, senior director of government affairs for Delta Waterfowl. “His years of policy leadership and legislative experience, combined with his passion for waterfowl hunting, will help take Delta’s state and local government affairs efforts to new heights in one of the most important regions for ducks and duck hunters in North America.”

Wardlaw is a passionate duck hunter with a proven track record of policy wins on behalf of sportsmen and women in the state of Arkansas. Apart from his love for waterfowl hunting, he is also an avid angler, and him and his wife, Missy, are the proud parents of six children.
