Delta Waterfowl Welcomes New Regional Director for Missouri
Julia Gibson to lead Missouri chapters, drive fundraising efforts, and strengthen community ties to advance Delta’s mission
Delta Waterfowl is pleased to announce Julia Gibson as the new regional director for Missouri. In her role, Gibson will oversee the organization’s existing chapters and work to establish new ones across the state. She will focus on organizing successful fundraising events that support Delta’s mission of producing ducks and securing the future of waterfowl hunting in North America.
Gibson, a sixth-generation farmer, grew up in Arbyrd, Missouri, in a row crop family and community. She has a strong background in agricultural and outdoor communications and previously served as the 2023 National Ms. United States Agriculture, where her platform focused on hunting, conservation, and supporting the American farmer. Through her work, Gibson’s passion for encouraging women and future generations to engage in hunting and conservation grew, along with her commitment to fostering positive relationships between farmers and hunters.
“When the position opened with Delta, I immediately applied,” said Gibson. “I love communicating with folks in ways that are unique to each person. Building trust, memories, and more with people who are just as passionate as you are about the things we all love is why I wake up every day and coming together with folks across the state and country to improve conservation and enjoy the harvest is the best reward.”
Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science in Agricultural Communications from the University of Tennessee.
“Julia is a great fit for this role,” said Garrett Trentham, Delta’s director of events—south region. “With her strong ties to Missouri’s farming community, lifelong love of waterfowl hunting, and deep passion towards Delta’s mission, she’s a natural advocate for waterfowl hunters. We’re thrilled to have her join the organization and are looking forward to the incredible impact she will make for ducks and duck hunters.”
Outside of her work with Delta, Gibson enjoys time on the farm, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her loved ones.
