Delta Waterfowl Welcomes Jason T. Douglas as Associate Development Director

Douglas will focus on strengthening donor relationships and leading Chairman’s Circle giving in Texas to advance Delta’s conservation efforts

Delta Waterfowl is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason T. Douglas as associate development director. In this role, Douglas will play a key part in expanding the organization’s Chairman’s Circle (a high-level giving program) in Texas by engaging donors, recruiting leadership volunteers, and reinforcing support for Delta’s mission to produce ducks and secure the future of waterfowl hunting.

Douglas’ connection to Delta Waterfowl began in 2011 when he attended a Lone Star Chapter banquet and signed up as a volunteer. Within a year, he took on the role of chapter chairman, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to the organization, and in 2013, he officially joined Delta as a regional director in Texas.

His deep passion for waterfowl conservation and extensive experience within the organization naturally led him to focus on development, where he now works to secure funding for Delta’s four pillars: Duck Production, Research and Education, Habitat Conservation, and HunteR3.

“All of Delta’s pillars have significant impact on waterfowl and waterfowl hunters, but my main passion for Delta lies in our R3 programs,” said Douglas. “As a child, I didn’t always have a hunting mentor in my life. Delta Waterfowl’s First Hunt and University Hunting Program provide mentorship opportunities to those who were once in my position, and I’m excited to be back at Delta Waterfowl so I can help support these programs with like-minded individuals.”

Douglas previously represented The Duck Hunters Organization for more than a decade as regional director for Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. Delta is excited to welcome him back in this leadership role, where his expertise and dedication will further the organization’s mission.

“We are happy to welcome Jason back to Delta,” said John Davis, senior vice president of development for Delta Waterfowl. “He embodies all the important qualities of a devoted waterfowl conservationist and professional fundraiser. Ducks and duck hunters in Texas and beyond are in good hands with Jason working tirelessly on their behalf.”

In addition to his work with Delta, Douglas enjoys spending time outdoors—whether riding motorcycles, fishing, or exploring the lake with his children. His weekends are often spent at Riverby Flats, where he, his family, and friends embrace the beauty of the outdoors.
