Duck hunters from across North America are pouring into Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to celebrate three days of all things waterfowl

The countdown has begun for the Delta Waterfowl Duck Hunters Expo! Just days away, the event taking place July 26 to 28 is open to the public and guarantees to have something for waterfowlers from all flyways inside the Raising Canes River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Duck Hunters Expo, presented by Federal Ammunition, is jam-packed with three days of continuous events presenting excitement, entertainment, expertise, and education on all things duck hunting.

The growing roster of can’t-miss attractions includes:

  • An opening day Eukanuba Duck Dog Parade to the door of the Raising Cane’s River Center. Watch duck dogs strut their stuff and receive the recognition they deserve.
  • Opening ribbon-cutting ceremony located in the main lobby of the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and Secretary of the LDWF, Madison Sheahan, will join Delta’s Dr. Scott Petrie Friday at 11:45 a.m. to welcome all to Delta’s third annual celebration of ducks and duck hunting.
  • The Delta Grand National presented by Drake Waterfowl and Mack’s Prairie Wings beginning 12 p.m. on Saturday. A champion will be crowned for Delta’s inaugural Double-Reed Calling Championship!
  • A tribute-style callmaking contest, The Delta Waterfowl Callmakers Championship presented by Chene and Treadstone Logistics, will take place on Friday where calls will be judged at 10 a.m. and winners will be announced at 3 p.m. on the Duck Dog Stage. Three different divisions—wood, acrylic, and an ‘open’ division—will showcase a number of talented participants, with the highest scoring call of all divisions taking home a trophy, cash prize, and the honor of overall champion.
  • Stop by Delta’s Waterfowl Hunting Heritage Booth for interactive carving demonstrations from expert carvers Dale Bordelon and Pat Gregory as they demonstrate the art and technique of making essential waterfowl gear such as hand-carved decoys, custom-made duck and goose calls, and even a classic dugout Louisiana pirogue on the expo’s show floor.
  • The Duck Hunters Stage presented by Benelli and Realtree featuring presentations from Devin Singleton, Rusty Creasey, and the team with Dr. Duck to ensure attendees have all the perfect pointers needed to make the most of their upcoming season.
  • The Eukanuba/Lucky Duck Duck Dog Stage, featuring expert training techniques, tips, and gear from the likes of trainers Josh Miller, Chris Akin, Brad Arington, Barton Ramsey, and Al Arthur.
  • The BOSS Shotshells and First Lite Field-to-Table Stage featuring an array of experts including top chefs Jean-Paul Bourgeois, Jay Holcomb, and Mark Merchant; along with can’t-miss Delta Waterfowl Trivia. Bring your appetite and your expanse of duck hunting knowledge for a chance at great prizes.
  • The Federal Ammunition Delta Waterfowl Duck Hunters Expo Exhibit Hall, featuring hundreds of vendors related to ducks and duck hunters. You’ll see the biggest names in the biz like Federal, Benelli, BOSS Shotshells, Rig ’em Right, Weatherby, Hevi-Shot, Fiocchi, Chene, Alps Outdoorz, Kent Cartridge, First Lite, Mojo, Lucky Duck, and dozens more.
  • The Federal Ammunition Champions of Delta Luncheon on Saturday, recognizing the outstanding scientists, volunteers, conservationists, and advocates who have done so much to put ducks over your decoys season after season.
