Delta Tested | BOSS Shotshells 12 ga. #3-5
We’re excited to put BOSSShotShells 12 gague, #3/5 shotgun shells to the test. What sets these shotgun shells apart is copper plated bismuth. See for yourself how they hold up against big geese. We rated these shells top marks for cold weather performance. You won’t go wrong if you pack these shells along for the hunt. Find out more at https://bossshotshells.com/
Love the BOSS 16 gauge loads. Zero problems on honkers, fat greenheads, and big divers.

Kentucky Chapter
I have been shooting the Boss 5’s for several years. The shells have never failed me , regardless of the lousy weather. The 3”3’s in 20 ga is a killer for those older guys like me and for youth hunters.
I’m sorry but unless there’s some unexplained ballistic phenomena involved, I can’t see the point of a load with 2 different pellet sizes. If the #5s ware big enough to kill whatever bird you’re shooting at whatever range you shoot them, then what’s the point of removing some and replacing them with a smaller number of #3s? If you need #3s for greater pellet energy at longer ranges or whatever, then just use a load of #3s and forget about the #5s which are inadequate and take up space in the shell.
For my part, I just ordered a case of BOSS bismuth #4s. More per pellet energy and better velocity retention than the #5s, more pellets in the pattern than #3s.
