Born and raised in a small town in western New York, Ryan DePietro found his path to Delta Waterfowl through a series of relocations and career shifts. After moving south to Tampa, Florida, for college, he completed a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Tampa, later joining the U.S. Army during which  he was stationed in Georgia and North Carolina. When he decided to leave the service, he sought to find another career that suited both his personality and his passions, eventually landing at Delta Waterfowl.

“I am extremely passionate about being able to get first time or inexperienced hunters out on hunts to develop their skills and knowledge,” DePietro said. “In turn, it’s great knowing that these positive experiences empower them to become confident and safe outdoorsmen and women and further benefit the current and future generations of conservationists and hunters!”

Outside of work, he can often be found fishing in local bass tournaments, scouting the woods and waters for upcoming hunting seasons, or participating in various shooting sports. He greatly cherishes time spent with family, which he deems impossible to give up.

When the seasons roll around, DiPietro has a particular fondness for flooded timber duck hunts and late fall sits for a rutting buck.
