Zac Copeland grew up in High Ridge, Missouri, where his love for the outdoors was established. Although he started as an avid archery deer hunter, it wasn’t until college that he experienced duck hunting for the first time—and he was instantly hooked. This passion eventually led him to work with the Missouri Department of Conservation, where he contributed to the state’s waterfowl program and realized his desire to dedicate his career to waterfowl conservation.
Zac earned a bachelor of science in Wildlife Conservation and Management, with a minor in Forestry, from Missouri State University. Now with Delta Waterfowl, Zac is thrilled to focus on matters important to waterfowlers across the continent.
“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to assist in producing more ducks throughout the flyways and to help allow for more opportunities for hunters everywhere,” Copeland said.
Outside of work, you can find him duck hunting from his kayak on larger bodies of water, where he relishes early mornings paddling through the fog. When he’s not in the blind, he enjoys kayak fishing, hiking with his wife, or chasing golf balls through the woods.
