Delta Waterfowl is The Duck Hunters Organization, a leading conservation group founded in 1911.  We work to produce ducks through intensive management programs and conservation of breeding duck habitat. Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota.  Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the US and Canada.  Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and this is expected to continue.  This is an exciting time for Delta as we look to the future, and we are looking for talented and skilled individuals who have a passion to perform meaningful work to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the hunter recruitment, retention, and reactivation program team, the R3 Coordinator – Pennsylvania is an organized and self-motivated individual with a strong hunting and hunter education background. This individual assists Delta Waterfowl with a variety of tasks, the most critical being oversight and daily management of Delta Waterfowl’s First Hunt and University Hunting R3 programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Encourage and assist in the facilitation of Delta Waterfowl’s First Hunt program.
  2. Work with State agencies, Federal agencies, and other organizations to develop and enhance opportunities for chapter delivery of First Hunt events.
  3. Assist in the management of adequate inventory of First Hunt event and University Hunting Program supplies.
  4. Assist in the creation, maintenance, and updates of program evaluation tools and surveys to gather data on program participant outcomes and outputs.
  5. Keep and regularly update a database of First Hunt events and data gathered from the survey set.
  6. Provide regular updates on program and participant outcomes.
  7. Manage the operation of the Delta Waterfowl University Hunting Program.
  8. Conduct outreach to establish new programs on a regional basis.
  9. Work with state and federal agencies to enhance programming and make additional resources available.
  10. Coordinate with wildlife professors to provide an opportunity for future wildlife managers that will produce a more holistic view of hunting and the role that consumptive use plays in wildlife management.
  11. Assist with the creation, maintenance, and updates of program evaluation tools and surveys to gather data on program participant outcomes and outputs.
  12. Assist in keeping survey, regularly updating a database of University Hunting Program events and data gathered from survey set in assigned region.
  13. Represent Delta at professional meetings, commonly including public presentations.
  14. Collaborate with Pennsylvania R3 staff to align Delta’s R3 programming with PAGC efforts in Pennsylvania.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  5. Must be a self-starter and passionate about hunter recruitment, retention, and reactivation.
  6. Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to change.
  7. Strong analytical skills and ability to manage data in Microsoft Office applications and other software.
  8. Excellent alphanumeric entry skills with a low error rate.
  9. Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary to various meetings and events.
