Accounting Coordinator

Location: Headquarters Office in Bismarck, ND

Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota.  Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the US and Canada.  Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years, and this is expected to continue.  This is an exciting time for Delta as we look to the future, and we are looking for talented and skilled individuals who have a passion to perform meaningful work to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be performed as a team member to Delta’s accounting/Business team. The position has high level upper management interaction and high confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Sorting, filing and data entry of accounts payable invoices in a timely manner to ensure data accuracy.
  2. Receives, sorts, corrects, and reconciles a variety of invoices and bank statements.
  3. Assists in inventory management and reporting.
  4. Posts data to appropriate accounts, reviews, and codes financial information, and makes deposits.
  5. Checks information for accuracy and maintains records.
  6. Performs a range of accounting assistant support assignments.
  7. Prepares, files, and assists with State Regulatory filings, Quarterly reporting (Gaming Report, Sales Tax, Charitable filings, Other).
  8. Assists in Organizational IRS Group Exemption and Chapter compliance and reporting including gaming in U.S. and Canada, and annual 990 tax filings for subordinate organizations.
  9. Assists with monthly and annual financial statements including working with Auditing firm during the annual audit.
  10. Assist with budget tracking.
  11. Assists in implementing and creating new systems and workflows.
  12. Prepare special reports for other managers, CEO, COO, CFO, Controller and development leads.
  13. Assists in NetSuite Accounting system administration.
  14. Asist with document retention, including scanning and organization of electronic documents.
  15. Support accounts receivable with data entry and receipting.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

  1. Accounting or Business degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years in business operations accounting experience.
  2. Attention to data accuracy required.

  9. Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting and CRM software. (Oracle’s NetSuite and Salesforce experience will be considered advantageous).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen.  The employee requires dexterity in using telephone, computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate stairs.  The employee must lift and move up to 40 pounds.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position is in an office work environment.
