This Looks Bad - but I'll Always Take More Water

This was a good week on the prairies. Lots of rain. So much that a 300-mile drive in Manitoba took an extra 3 hours due to road closures.

Lots of water from 50 miles south of the U.S. border to Waterhen.

Yes, a few nests get destroyed. Those late incubation eggs floated out of a nest that was overtopped.

However, the increased renesting and brood survival due to great water will dwarf those losses.
