R3 Coordinator - Midwest

Location: Remote (must reside in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, or Wisconsin)

Delta Waterfowl is The Duck Hunters Organization, a leading conservation group founded in 1911.  We work to produce ducks through intensive management programs and conservation of breeding duck habitat. Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and this is expected to continue. JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Waterfowl and Hunter Recruitment Program team, the R3 Program Coordinator is an organized and self-motivated individual with a strong hunting and hunter education background. This individual assists Delta Waterfowl with various tasks, with primary responsibilities centered on the oversight and daily management of Delta Waterfowl’s First Hunt and University Hunting R3 programs within the assigned region. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Support the delivery of Delta Waterfowl’s First Hunt program.
2. Secure survey responses from First Hunt participants and update event data.
3. Oversee the Delta Waterfowl University Hunting Program in the assigned region.
4. Conduct outreach to establish new University Hunting Programs.
5. Coordinate with wildlife professors to educate future managers on hunting’s role in conservation.
6. Work with state and federal agencies and partner organizations to strengthen and expand University Hunting Program events, securing additional resources when available.
7. Manage inventory for University Hunting Program supplies.
8. Secure survey responses from University Hunting Program participants in assigned regions and update event data to ensure comprehensive reporting.
9. Represent Delta at professional meetings and deliver public presentations.
10. Contribute content to the Marketing Department to promote R3 initiatives.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, wildlife management, or a related field.
2. Must work well with the public and in a team environment.

5. Must be a self-starter and passionate about hunter recruitment, retention, and reactivation.
6. Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to change.
7. Strong analytical skills and ability to manage data in Microsoft Office applications and other software.
8. Excellent alphanumeric entry skills with a low error rate.
9. Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary to various meetings and events.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The position requires dexterity in using a telephone, computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate stairs. The employee must lift and move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in an office environment as well as in the field (e.g., marsh, water, woods, etc.).
