Graphic Designer / Social Media Coordinator

Delta Waterfowl is The Duck Hunters Organization, a leading conservation group founded in 1911. We work to produce ducks through intensive management programs and conservation of breeding duck habitat. Delta conducts vital waterfowl research and promotes and protects the continuing tradition of waterfowl hunting in North America.

Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and this is expected to continue. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for managing all social media channels for Delta Waterfowl’s social media platforms. This position will also administer Delta’s social media content across social media platforms, while managing Delta’s email platform.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Manage all social media channels.
2. Create and execute social media campaigns.
3. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team for social media needs.
4. Research and evaluate content to be consistent with industry trends.
5. Assist with media creation and campaign design within the Delta brand guidelines.
6. Oversee Delta Waterfowl social media assets, forming the core of Delta’s online brand.
7. Create a variety of media communications for marketing and graphic materials that align with Delta’s brand and objectives for websites, emails and printed projects.
8. Develop and design ideas that resonate with Delta Waterfowls audience.
9. Collaborate with marketing and communications team to create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic.
10. Design multimedia materials.
11. Create and deliver engaging and memorable graphics.
12. Other job duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Associates degree in graphic design or communications, marketing, or other closely related field and at least one year of professional experience required.
2. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, InDesign, Express, Illustrator).
3. Ability to apply knowledge of professional photography, layout, and graphic design, and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.
4. Familiar with media sizes for printing and digital, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube and a basic understanding of Google Analytics/SEO.
5. Experience in creative design, proofreading, and editing photos and graphics.
6. Knowledge of educational and promotional print production.
7. Must work well with the general public and in a team environment.
8. Ability to travel on occasion.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The position requires dexterity in using a telephone, computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate stairs. The employee must lift and move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in an office environment as well as in the field (e.g., marsh, water, woods, etc.).
