Delta Waterfowl Welcomes New Regional Director for Tennessee and Kentucky
Ryan Sturm brings nearly a decade of dedicated experience as a Delta volunteer
Ryan Sturm has joined The Duck Hunters Organization as a regional director dedicated to supporting Delta’s volunteers throughout Tennessee and Kentucky.
In his new role, Sturm will oversee Delta’s existing chapters and establish new ones across the state. His primary focus will be organizing successful fundraising events that advance Delta’s mission of producing ducks and securing the future of waterfowl hunting in North America. Prior to this role, Sturm served eight years as chairman of Delta’s Four Rivers Chapter in Calvert City, Kentucky—a chapter that he established with a group of dedicated volunteers.
“Ryan has been an avid outdoorsman throughout his life and possesses a strong passion for conservation,” said Scot Marcin, Delta’s director of events for the East region. “His dedication to youth, veterans, and college hunts demonstrates his commitment to advancing Delta's mission, and, just as important, his leadership has fostered new and productive relationships with local WMAs and refuges. I look forward to working together and watching the region grow with Ryan at the helm.”
Having grown up on the banks of Kentucky Lake in the western region of the Bluegrass State, Sturm is a devoted waterfowler and staunch advocate for the future of the pursuit.
“My real passion is volunteering, educating, and bringing other like-minded people to Delta Waterfowl,” said Sturm. “I’m looking forward to continuing collaborating with our chapters to recruit new waterfowl hunters, advance Delta’s mission, and help chapters make a meaningful, lasting impact in their local communities.”
Sturm currently resides in Benton, Kentucky. Outside of work, you’ll find him in a layout boat or duck blind during waterfowl seasons, against a tree in pursuit of turkeys, or spending time at Kentucky Lake with his wife.
