Delta Waterfowl Urges Swift Action to Keep U.S. Government Running
Access to federal public lands is important for many waterfowl hunters
BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Delta Waterfowl urges Congress to work toward passage of a continuing resolution to avoid interruption of critical government programs that deliver important conservation and hunting access programs for waterfowl hunters.
A continuing resolution would extend funding at the currently appropriated levels and allow all government offices and services to remain open, including operations of the National Wildlife Refuge System.
“We recognize the importance of our federal public lands to waterfowl and waterfowl hunters, especially as the fall migration and waterfowl hunting seasons begin,” said Jason Tharpe, Delta’s chief executive officer. “We’re urging the prompt passage of a continuing resolution to continue to fund government operations.”
