Goose Groups

BY CHRISTY SWEIGART

After circling your spread in seemingly mile-wide loops, the flock of geese finally cups, prepares to land in your decoys, and ... OK, pause your thoughts of yelling, “Take ’em!” for a second to consider how cool it is when geese find their way to your spread along their migratory journeys. Are you typically able to make an educated guess about where a flock of honkers flew in from? Or where they’re headed? See if you can match each goose population to its major wintering and nesting grounds.
