Those are Good Males

These pictures illustrate two of the jobs for most male waterfowl:

1. Be vigilant for danger while your female concentrates on foraging, especial during nesting.
   
   
2. Follow the female – always, wherever she goes, and for months. Paired males always take off after their hen has decided to go.
