EMPLOYMENT PERIOD:
4/15/2026 to 8/1/2026 - Technician Positions (flexible start and end dates)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Delta Waterfowl is seeking several technicians to fill a variety of positions this upcoming field season. Applicants will conduct a variety of tasks including nest dragging and over-water nest searching, conducting Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) surveys, nest monitoring, pair and brood surveys. Housing is provided at all field sites and compensation for these positions but will be a minimum of $15/hour (USD) plus the opportunity for overtime.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must have received or be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management or a closely related field.
• The ability to accurately identify waterfowl is critical, especially hens.
• Must be able to navigate using handheld GPS and legal land description maps.
• Must have good communication skills and reliable data entry and note-taking skills.
• Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
• Must possess or be able to get a valid US or Canadian UAV pilot license (MB, SK, and SD positions only: instructions and study materials will be provided and Delta will provide additional training).
• Must have or be able to quickly obtain a passport for working in Canada (for positions in Saskatchewan, and Manitoba).
• Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, walk over uneven ground, and complete physically demanding tasks on a routine basis.
