Delta Waterfowl is The Duck Hunters Organization, a leading conservation group founded in 1911. We work to produce ducks through intensive management programs and conservation of breeding duck habitat. Delta conducts vital waterfowl research and promotes and protects the continuing tradition of waterfowl hunting in North America.

Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and this is expected to continue. JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the development and management of new and existing Delta Waterfowl chapters within a designated region with the following objectives:

• Generation of maximum net revenue via fundraising events.
• Recruitment and retention of volunteers.
• Membership acquisition and retention.
• Education of members to Delta Waterfowl mission and purpose.
• Marketing, branding and promotion of Delta Waterfowl and its programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Chapter Development & Volunteer Engagement
     • Establish and sustain strong local volunteer committees that support and advance Delta Waterfowl’s mission.
     • Facilitate training and support to ensure active committee engagement and long-term chapter success.

2. Event Fundraising Strategy & Execution
     • Collaborate with committees to set clear fundraising goals in alignment with regional and Development Department-organization goals. 
     • Coach volunteers to optimize:
         o Pre-event marketing
         o Event size and strategic use of package, non-package purchases and donations
         o Securing tickets sales-sponsorships, underwriting support and raffle or auction donations
         o Accurate and timely submission of post-event financials and memberships

3. Volunteer Communication & Planning
     • Maintain a strategic calendar of in-person meetings or non-traditional approaches to guide and support committee progress.
     • Support chapters in executing Waterfowl Heritage Fund (WHF) at both local and national levels.
     • Encourage investments focused on opportunities aligned with Delta’s mission. 

4. Administrative and Financial Reporting
     • Submit all required reports and documentation in a timely, organized fashion, including: 
         o Expense and leave time records
         o Online credit card coding – Ex. Delta direct costs or other
         o Event estimates, financial, final revenue, memberships and WHF-related paperwork

5. Team Collaboration & Internal Reporting
     • Provide weekly updates via conference calls or email to the Director of Events.
     • Collaborate consistently with volunteers, regional directors, event coordinators, and fellow Delta staff to ensure unified success.

6. Donor Prospecting & Lead Generation
     • Identify and refer potential donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations to Delta’s Development team.

7. Conservation Networking
     • Represent Delta Waterfowl at relevant conservation events.
     • Document event formats, audience engagement, product placements, and innovation opportunities.

8. Duck Hunters Expo Support
     • Assist with logistics, planning, and execution of assigned responsibilities for the annual Duck Hunters Expo. 

9. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent, and three years of related experience; or, a combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
• Prior experience sales management and customer service.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to change.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
