Steve Clark

Highlands, Texas |

Delta Waterfowl is proud to welcome Steve Leonard Clark to its Board of Directors.

Clark is a native of Texas who has accomplished careers in aviation, engineering, and land stewardship, along with 30 years in industry and environmental conservation.

After attending Texas Southmost College, the University of Tulsa, Spartan College, and Texas A&M University, he served as head flight instructor at the Lower Rio Grande Police Academy. He began his career as a kickoff engineer for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, which required him to serve as both a pilot and quality assurance engineer. He returned to the Texas Gulf Coast and focused on environmental engineering, serving as a first responder to oil well failures and clean up, and environmental restoration.

Aside from his engineering background, Clark operated a 2,000-acre rice farm in Chambers County and a 1,000-acre ranch in Live Oak County, where he enjoyed managing a free-range trophy whitetail herd, with an involved focus on wildlife management. After Hurricane Ike in 2012, he donated his rice farm to Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, which doubled the square footage available to waterfowl. Clark continues to farm for wildlife in San Jacinto County and South Point, Texas.

Clark's dedication to conservation is representative of a lifetime of personal and professional passion for preserving waterfowl and wildlife management for future generations.
