Peek Garlington III

Peek joined SCS Financial as part of its acquisition of Edge Capital in February 2025 and is a Managing Director in the Private Client Group. Prior to joining SCS, Peek was a Founding Partner and served on the Board of Directors of Edge Capital in 2006,growing its significant Family Office and Philanthropic clients globally. Peek shares best practices and insights using over 40 years of institutional and family office industry experience in Insurance, Fixed Income, Equity, Private Equity, and Real Estate capital markets to deliver SCS Financial ‘s immense client capabilities. Prior to founding Edge Peek worked at The Garlington Group a Family founded Insurance Brokerage House , Lehman Brothers Institutional Fixed Income and Private Equity Divisions, Credit Suisse’s US Wealth Management Division, and Edge Capital Partners.

Peek is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Delta Waterfowl Foundation and serves as Co-Chair of its Development Committee. He is Co- Founder of Fact Relief Foundation which helps families deal with healthcare crisis’s by giving targeted support of uninsured healthcare expenses and day to day living needs. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the Bluegrass Land Conservancy which works to protect land in Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region through permanent conservation easements. He served 6 years as a Lexington Kentucky Mayoral appointment to the Paris Pike Corridor commission and 9 years on The Sayre School Board of Trustees and is a Honorary Trustee of the Turner Foundation. Peek is a flyfisherman, waterfowler, wing shooter, bow hunter, and golfer. He has taken his love of fly fishing to competitive levels by winning the 1997 Golden Fly Tarpon Tournament in Islamorada and as a team winner in the 2013 Jackson Hole One Fly Tournament in Wyoming.

A Georgia native, he graduated from Georgia State University and has earned professional designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM).

Peek and his wife, Jennie, have six children and live on their farm with horses, dogs, and a variety of other animals.
