Vice President of Events – Bismarck (Preferred)

This position is for a proven leader with extensive experience and working knowledge of a non-profit, chapter and volunteer driven fundraising events team. This person must have experience in event fundraising, volunteer management, on-site and remote team management, product acquisition, CRM software, budget creation and management, gaming licensing, and other general management methodologies. This individual will work directly for the CDO to create strategies and implement growth and fundraising goals for the event team. This individual will also partner with the Senior Vice President of Major Gifts to create and maintain synergies across fundraising teams as well as partner with the Senior Director and Director of Development to improve and maintain field support functions.


  1. Build and manage the Events team fundraising goals annually.
  2. Supervise the Directors of Events.
  3. Oversee the Directors of Events in building individual Regional annual plans.
  4. Work directly with the Directors of Events in hiring new Regional Directors.
  5. Work directly with the CDO to create and achieve growth and fundraising goals for the Events team.
  6. Partner directly with Senior Vice President and Vice Presidents of Major Gifts to improve and create cross team synergies for Events and Major Gifts.
  7. Work directly with product acquisition team to acquire product package annually.
  8. Work directly with the support team to ensure teamwork and synergies between onsite support staff and field staff.
  9. Work directly with the support team to maintain and improve data management and other support functions.

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor management software is a must.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen. The position requires dexterity in using telephone, computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate stairs. The employee must lift and move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in an office environment.
