JOB POSTING: Facilities Coordinator, Turkey Point, Ontario

JOB SUMMARY: Delta Waterfowl Foundation is seeking qualified applicants for a Facilities Coordinator position to perform a variety of duties to assist in the daily operations at the Delta Waterfowl Centre (DWC). This position will work on a part-time basis with an estimated up to 24 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promote use of the DWC by the local community and conservation partners.
  2. Schedule and book events.
  3. Accept payments and perform associated banking and deposit activities.
  4. Track, record and process payments of property expenses.
  5. Maintain a budget for improvements and replacements.
  6. Assess and order supplies for all buildings.
  7. Maintain records both written and electronically.
  8. Distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  9. Assist in warehouse shipping and receiving activities.
  10. Obtain and maintain water testing certificate.
  11. Assist in answering phones and provide information as appropriate.
  12. Participate in property inspections and risk assessments.
  13. Assist with the delivery of hunter recruitment programming conducted at the Centre
  14. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related professional experience or a combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the above.
  2. Eligible to obtain water testing certification.
  3. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage data in Word, Excel, Power Point and other software such as Zoom.
  4. Problem solving skills and ability to respond to change.
  5. Proficient alphanumeric entry skill with low error rate.
  6. Must be able to prioritize responsibilities in a changing environment with time restrictions.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, and the ability to work with all levels of staff and customers.
