Delta Waterfowl Hires New Regional Director for Prairie Canada
WINNIPEG, MANITOBA — Delta Waterfowl welcomes Emily Lamb as regional events director for Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Lamb, 29, of Water Valley, Alberta, will work with existing Delta Waterfowl chapters in the prairie provinces, as well as work to start new chapters to support The Duck Hunters Organization in Canada.
She has studied wildlife, forestry and animal science, and has worked for a wildlife management company for the past seven years. Lamb is an active waterfowl hunter and trapper. She has served as treasurer for Delta Waterfowl’s Wild Wings Chapter in Calgary, Alberta, and also helped start a chapter of the Alberta Trappers Association.
“My passion in life is to get people to understand that hunting and conservation are the same thing,” Lamb said. “It’s why I want to be a part of Delta Waterfowl.”
She has taught outdoor skills courses for eight years, and enjoys giving seminars on conservation.
“I have a diverse background, with a lot of experience navigating the non-profit conservation world,” Lamb said. “I look forward to helping Delta Waterfowl grow.”
